Hi NAPIBOWRIWEE folks! FYI, I’ll be participating in this year’s CAMP NANOWRIMO! It’s the summer version of NANOWRIMO.
In a nutshell, NANOWRIMO stands for NATIONAL NOVEL WRITING MONTH. You are invited to write a 50,000 word minimum novel in one month. This is the organization that inspired MY event, NAPIBOWRIWEE (National Picture Book Writing Week). Their website is here: http://www.nanowrimo.org/

I decided to use June and Camp NaNoWriMo as a way to kickstart the first draft of a new middle grade novel idea I had recently.
For those of you who participated in MY NAPIBOWRIWEE event, please comment here and let me know if you plan to join CAMPNANOWRIMO. Perhaps we can request to be in the same “cabin” together. (See the website for more details on that.)

Well, I am participating and I put a request in to have you in my cabin, but I don’t think their cabin mate request function works properly. I had to reset 3 times to get another friend in my cabin, AND I’d requested for people in my age range (late 40s) but there are 2 teens in my cabin in addition to my friend. Oy vey. LOL!
I give up; I’m too busy writing to care anyway.

Yay Teresa! Glad you are participating. Yes, the cabin mate requests are a bit wonky, so I don’t think I am going to get in your cabin. I too have a couple of teens in my cabin. Oh well. But we can at least keep in touch during our camp! 🙂 What is your URL/name for Camp Nano?
